Bruce W. Bell
Bruce W Bell is the President of Vitacom Services Corporation.
Education: Bruce Bell graduated from Foothill High School in Southern California. He attended Stanford University from 1969 through 1973 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.
Employment: After graduating from Stanford, Mr Bell worked as a microwave engineer leading development projects at Watkins-Johnson and then at Frequency Sources. Mr Bell co-authored several papers on EBS technology, which uses an electron-beam striking a semiconductor to provide high-power microwave amplifiers.
Mr Bell subsequently managed the technical support operations at Vitalink, providng first and second level support and managing the 24 x 7 NOC.
In 1987/1988, Mr Bell and several other key employees led a management buyout of the satellite communications division of Vitalink, establishing the new company as Vitacom Corporation of Mountain View. Mr Bell held key positions in the company, including Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Engineering.
Mr Bell helped lead the company into the Latin American market, where deregulation was providing rapidly expanding opportunities for satellite communications.
In 2004 Mr Bell established Vitacom Services Corporation, where he has been President from 2004 through the current time. In 2008 Mr Bell led the purchase of assets from Ironlink Services Corporation, giving Vitacom a strong presence in the market for communications services into Africa.
